Hello
Welcome! I'm Anna McGregor, and I've been immersed in the world of clinical therapy since 2018, specializing in working with adults aged 18 and above. My journey in this field has been deeply rewarding, as I cherish the opportunity to learn about each person I meet and accompany them through the various highs and lows of life.
Passion for Helping:
Throughout my life, I've felt a calling to assist those navigating challenges. Caring for and empathizing with others is not just a profession for me; it's a profoundly meaningful process that I find fulfilling.
Specialization in ADHD:
While my primary focus is on individuals with ADHD, my experience extends to working with people from diverse backgrounds and addressing a wide range of concerns. If you are in need of help with more than ADHD, depression, or anxiety, please reach out as I may be able to help or provide referrals.
Therapeutic Approach:
In therapy, I employ a diverse set of evidence-based methods, custom-tailored to the unique individual I'm working with. For those facing acute issues, I often lean towards coping skills and goal-oriented therapy. For those seeking a space for reflection, I integrate cognitive therapy to foster self-understanding and incorporate psychodynamic elements to explore the deeper "why" behind a client's thoughts.
Values in Therapy:
Empathy, kindness, and self-compassion are at the core of my therapeutic approach. While I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, and depression, my experience spans a broad spectrum of mental health concerns.
Education:
I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, IL in 2019. Since then, I have received further clinical experience and education in intensive and outpatient settings.
